The Lérins Islands, the escape to make from Cannes

A short boat ride from Cannes harbour, two islands change the pace entirely: Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat.

The Lérins Islands off Cannes

Two islands, two moods

Sainte-Marguerite, the larger, is covered in pines and home to the Fort Royal. Smaller Saint-Honorat is home to a community of monks and their vineyards.

Getting there

Boats leave from Quai Laubeuf in Cannes’ Old Port. Times and fares change with the season: check with the operators before you go.

From the Motel

Head to the Old Port by car or bus, then board. Bring water and good shoes, and come back for the pool at the end of the day.
